OPERATING INFRASTRUCTURE SINCE 2017
The challenge: opening with all critical systems ready
Opening a five-star hotel demands that the technological infrastructure works from the very first minute and meets the standards of an international chain. The project had to coordinate different systems and suppliers, with demanding opening deadlines and no margin for interruptions that would affect the start of operations.
- Standards technological international.
- Coordination from multiple vendors and systems.
- Deadlines opening very demanding.
- Dependency of PMS, WiFi, telephony, IPTV, security, access control, and internal services.
- High availability and redundancy in connectivity, security, and infrastructure.

The implemented solution
Cisco Enterprise LAN Architecture
The LAN infrastructure It was designed with Cisco Enterprise technology to create a solid, scalable network foundation aligned with the chain's international standards. The project included 25 switches, more than 800 network ports distributed throughout the hotel, and segmentation using VLANs. This architecture made it possible to simultaneously support the establishment's critical services from opening and maintain the capacity to support its growth.
High-availability perimeter security
They were implanted dSophos firewalls configured in high availability. This architecture helps keep the service active if one of the computers fails, reduces the risk of disruptions, and makes it possible to control the traffic reaching the hotel's critical systems.
Redundant business connectivity
IPVIP designed a dedicated fiber architecture provided by two independent operators to reinforce connectivity redundancy. As a telecommunications operator registered with the CNMC, IPVIP acts as a single point of contact for hotel connectivity support.
System and supplier coordination
The opening involved integrating different systems, platforms, and external teams. IPVIP assumed the technical coordination of the project and acted as the point of reference during the integration of the hotel's technological services. The team facilitated the validation of each solution and verified that the systems were operational by the scheduled opening date.
Results: stable operation since opening
Opening within deadline
The technological infrastructure was prepared within the scheduled time.
Operating systems from day one
Connectivity, LAN, WiFi, security, telephony, PMS, IPTV and other essential systems remained Connected and validated.
Business continuity
The architecture was prepared for reduce interruptions and respond to incidents.
Support and evolution since 2017
IPVIP Continue supporting the hotel with technical support, maintenance, and technological evolution.
The deployed architecture continues to offer the stability, availability, and scalability necessary for the daily operation of the establishment.
Why the project was a success
The project combined technology and hotel expertise to build a digital ecosystem prepared for daily operations and future evolution.
As a telecommunications operator, IPVIP designs communication solutions tailored to the hotel's reality.
Network, connectivity, security, telephony, and critical systems are coordinated as a common architecture.
The project took into account the requirement for openness and the dependency on critical systems.
Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Nonius, and Sophos.
IPVIP maintains support, operation, and technological evolution after implementation.
